Sunrider Earns Business of the Year Award

On January 23, 2009, Sunrider International was recognized by the Harbor City/Harbor Gateway Chamber of Commerce as the 2008 Business of the Year. The award was presented at the chamber’s 70th Annual Installation and Awards Lunch in Los Angeles. John Teng, Sunrider’s sales manager of North America, accepted this special award on behalf of Drs. Chen.
At this event, the chamber and various local elected officials thanked Sunrider International for its substantial investment in our community, including the establishment of Sunrider’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the City of Los Angeles, which consists of nearly one million square feet of working space and represents an estimated investment of $150 million.
Sunrider International also received the following special recognition from local elected officials for being the Harbor City/Harbor Gateway Chamber of Commerce’s 2008 Business of the Year:
City of Los Angeles Congratulatory Certificate
Sunrider International was presented with congratulations from the City of Los Angeles for being selected by the Harbor City/Harbor Gateway Chamber of Commerce as one of this year’s award recipients. The award is signed by City of Los Angeles Councilwoman Janice Hahn.
State of California Senate Certificate of Recognition
This certificate, signed by California State Senator Jenny Oropeza, recognizes Sunrider International as the Harbor City/Harbor Gateway Chamber of Commerce’s “Business of the Year 2008” with gratitude for Sunrider International’s “dedicated service to our community.”
State of California Legislature Assembly Certificate of Recognition
This certificate, signed by California State Assembly member Warren T. Furutani, recognizes Sunrider as the Harbor City/Harbor Gateway Chamber of Commerce’s “2008 Business of the Year.”
Certificate of Congressional Commendation
This certificate, signed by U.S. Congresswoman Jane Harman, was presented to Sunrider International “in recognition of your company and the honor of being named Business of the Year 2008.”
