Everyone Wins at Charity Basketball Game Sponsored by Sunrider!
Sunrider International continued its long-time support of Pediatric Therapy Network (PTN) and its Camp Escapades program, by sponsoring the Sunrider International Invitational Basketball Game on August 14, 2014 at Rolling Hills Country Day School in Rolling Hills Estates, California. Eric Chen welcomed everyone and played on a team that included Torrance Police Chief Mark Matsuda, professional comedian and actor Larry Campbell, former Seattle Seahawks professional football player Tyronne Rodgers, and the Los Angeles Kings Ice Crew with team mascot Bailey (the lion).

Game announcers included former Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop legend Maury Wills, and Steve Napolitano, field officer for Los Angeles County Supervisor Don Knabe. The referees were Pat Furey, Mayor of the City of Torrance, and Todd Gordon, Assistant Principal at Rolling Hills Country Day School. A few hundred campers, volunteers, staff from PTN, local elected officials, and guests from the community watched the game and cheered the children on to victory.

Camp Escapades is an innovative two-week summer day camp for children with special needs and developmental delays; ages range from 5 to 14 years. Campers participate in arts, crafts, cooking, dance, moon bounces, sports, yoga, waterslides, special events, and more! Activities are adapted so that every camper can have fun regardless of his or her age or ability. Camp groups are staffed with pediatric, occupational, physical, or speech therapists, as well as paraprofessional educators and one-on-one teen volunteers who are the child's camp "buddy" throughout the week.
